Jak vzniká naše sako na míru?

How is our custom-made jacket made?

We will guide you step by step on the path to a perfectly fitting piece. Find out how measurements are taken, how designs are created and what we emphasize when choosing materials. With us, you will immerse yourself in the world of timeless design and precise tailoring.

How does the overall process work?

It all starts with a personal meeting and consultation, where we ask about specific requirements. Before the actual selection, we emphasize understanding the specific requirements of each client. Based on this information, we create designs, select suitable fabrics and cuts. Once the client decides on a specific combination, the first measurements come. After the jacket is put on, the client returns for a fitting, where we check how the jacket fits. If everything is as expected, the jacket is finished, which takes approximately two weeks. After that, the client can take their new jacket away, or we can fine-tune the final details to make the result absolutely perfect.

How do we start designing a jacket? Inspiration and design unification
When designing a jacket, we are inspired by the client herself – her appearance, hair color, eyes, and body type. It is important that the jacket matches perfectly and highlights her natural beauty. We devote careful preparation to each design, including the creation of mood boards, which are collages of images and photographs from which we draw inspiration. Collages are often made of images of Art Nouveau or Cubist architecture, paintings, or our previous models.

Design sketching – classic or modern technology?
Every designer has their own approach to creation. We prefer classic pencil sketching, which we then convert into digital form using a graphics tablet. This allows for precise editing and creation of visualizations. We also offer 3D modeling in Blender, which allows the client to see the final result before the jacket begins to be created.

We usually create 3 to 5 designs, from which the client chooses the one that best matches her vision. Since we create custom designs and consult with clients in detail about their wishes, we have a fairly clear idea of the final look at the beginning of the creation process.

How important are seasonal trends when creating?
At Cameronni, we prefer elegant, timeless designs. Our clients come to us for quality pieces that will last for several seasons, not for a short-term fashion event. Of course, we adapt our designs to the season – for example, in the summer we use more breathable materials such as linen, while in the winter we choose warmer options such as wool. However, we rely on using natural materials. Fabrics such as linen or wool not only look good, but are also breathable and comfortable to wear. Sometimes a mixture of materials is important to improve elasticity or reduce wrinkling, but we always make sure that the fabrics are of the highest quality and without added microplastics.

What is the measurement process?
Measurements are a key part of the design process. We focus on chest, waist, shoulder width, sleeve length, but also smaller details like arm and wrist circumference. Everything is done discreetly in a hotel lounge behind a screen to ensure maximum comfort for our clients.

What is the customer's involvement in the design itself?
Collaboration with the client is essential for us. The client will often give us basic direction on things like lapel cut or pocket placement, and if she has special requests, such as embroidery of her initials or company logo, we will always take them into account. However, we also maintain a certain creative freedom that allows us to create a unique suit.

What is the significance of the first jacket fitting?
The first fitting is essential to verify how the jacket fits the body. Usually, there are 2 to 3 fitting sessions, during which we gradually adjust the jacket. It is important that the client leaves not only with a perfectly fitting jacket, but also with the feeling that she has invested in a piece of her wardrobe that will last her for several years.

How long does the whole process take from design to finished jacket?
The production time of a jacket varies depending on whether we are based on our previous designs or creating a new custom design according to their ideas. However, it is usually about 3 weeks, during which the aforementioned meetings with the client take place. Before handing over the jacket, we always steam and clean it so that it is ready to wear immediately.
